1. QUESTION:
   Can exterior primer and paint be used on entry doors?
   I need to paint both of my entry doors (both sides), and was wondering if I can use acrylic paint designed for exterior use. Or do I need to use an interior paint? Also, can exterior paint be used indoors? Will it cause any problems? Or is it just more expensive than interior? I know it smells a lot better.

   • ANSWER:
     There's no reason why you can't use exterior paint on the inside at all. It's the other way round you can't use them

2. QUESTION:
   what paint can be used by children to paint exterior walls?
   We are looking to do a project with children that requires them to paint a design onto an exterior wall. Do you know what type of paint would last for years, be weather proof and be safe for the children to use?

   • ANSWER:
     House paint is weather proof and would be perfect for your project. You can use latex paint in a semi gloss finish and it will last for years, just like the paint on a house. But, the best way to get any paint to last is to prevent it from premature peeling and flaking is to use a primer first. Adults can do this prep work, and allow it to dry, so the kids begin their painting project. You can get the supplies you need in a home improvement store. You can buy quarts of paint in various colors to complete your project.

     Paint is safe if it gets on your skin, but can be harmful when swallowed or if it gets into the eyes. So, supervision is recommended and goggles to protect the eyes is not a bad idea.

     When my son was a toddler, I allowed him to put his hand prints here and there on one white wall with primary colored interior latex paint. As he grew he added his prints again about once a year. After the project was done we had small, medium and large hand prints on the wall. The paint never hurt him one single bit.

3. QUESTION:
   Is there any reason I shouldn't use exterior paint on the inside of my house?
   My friend (an interior design student) said I should consider using exterior paint in my kitchen because it will hold up to a good scrubbing, and since I'm painting a dark color (either burgundy or dark plumby purple), it would provide better coverage in half the coats that it would take with interior paint, therefore making it more economical also. Is she right, or is there something in exterior paint that I don't want to be inside the house?

   • ANSWER:
     It does not cure properly inside. It is made to go on thick, and it is better to have thin coats of a durable latex ENAMEL (key!) paint than a thick exterior paint. There is a great new paint at Ace's hardware that anything wipes off of, including permanent marker. They will give you a demo in the store if you ask. We painted a grease-stained wall in my best friend's kitchen and it is working beautifully. Also, start with a tinted primer (Behr) in your base color. It will save you many coats.

4. QUESTION:
   Exterior paint for concrete patio?
   I want to paint a design on my concrete slab patio which does get some foot traffic. I know they make porch and floor paint for areas that get walked on, but I’m wondering if can I get away with just using “regular” exterior paint that isn’t necessarily made for floors? I plan to apply a clear concrete sealer afterwards which hopefully will provide it some protection. Thanks.

   • ANSWER:
     no do not use normal exterior gloss.
     you can buy floor paint that is made especially for the job
     if the concrete is porous you will need to use a stabilizing solution first

5. QUESTION:
   I want to paint my interior window frames black an leave the exterior frames cream...is that OK design-wise?
   Is there a "design-rule" about painting window frames a different color on the inside vs. on the outside?

   • ANSWER:
     I'm a professional interior designer, and I will often paint the inside frames of a window a different color than what is on the exterior. There is absolutely nothing wrong "design wise" with doing that. And if you do it and end up not liking it, hey...paint is cheap, and you can fix it!

6. QUESTION:
   Best paint to use on a car?
   We have a 94 Ford Tempo, completely white on the exterior. If we want to paint a small design on it, what would be the best type of paint to use?

   We're not painting the car, we just want to put a small image on it.
   It's my sister's car that we're painting. She only paints with brush, not spray. It's likely gonna be a black/white outline of something (person, animal, etc). Kinda like a car tatoo I guess.

   • ANSWER:
     It all depends if you want to brush or spray the paint. Depending upon what kind of paint is already on the car, 94 Ford Tempo should have a Dupont 3 stage Chroma base clear system applied to it at the factory. You will want to lightly sand the area to be painted with 400 wet or dry sandpaper. If you are spraying, you should mask off a generous portion of the car against over spray. You will need to strip any wax or other contaminants from the surface to be painted before sanding. Painting on existing clear coat with an enamel will yield good results. I would not use any lacquer or water based paints. When you have the image applied to the car as you want it, I would clear coat the area with several coats.

7. QUESTION:
   How do I put color in a wrought iron "garden art" piece?
   I want to add metal garden art, but I want color in/on the metal piece , I want to design. Or will any exterior paint stay on through different seasons.Without peeling and chipping ?

   • ANSWER:
     pretty much every paint will come off eventually, mainlybecause:
     1. Metal expands and contracts
     2. The metal remains very hot and very cold long after the apmospheric temperature changes, stressing the paint.

     One of the easiest ways to add colour if you are making this art yourself is by encorperating things such as mosaic tiles, and large ceramic beads.

     Remember to be creative- and never dismiss an idea untill you see it properly.... No artist is happy with thier work in progress!

     Without knowing the location and your particulars, i.e., what iems and features you would like to incorporate I'll speculate about 0 to 0 per square foot.

Such a person will not only confirm planning and construction parameters, he'll work in your best interests, ensuring that you get the best prices and workmanship out of the contractor, subs and tradesmen, so you stay on budget and schedule. 10. QUESTION:
    Can I gloss paint cement if I stabilise and prime it first?
    My window sill is made from tiles, the original glazed surface has long gone so is now basically a cement type surface (porous). I want to have a gloss finish on these tiles (they had it before, I just took 3 days to get rid of the thick layers), but can only find exterior gloss for wood and metal. But, I found some primer in B&Q for wood, metal and brick which I could use. Can I get away with using this primer (after using a stabilising solution)followed by a gloss paint designed for wood and metal?

    • ANSWER:
      I used gloss on my bathroom tiles but it eventually peeled off in parts after about a year, so I got special tile paint and it worked a treat. I think I got it from wilkinsons or it could have been homebase.

      It's not a large surface so maybe you could just retile over the existing tiles and grout it with a small tube of ready made grout. Tiling is a relatively easy job I've done tiling in my kitchen in the past

    Can anyone design or remodel a homeowners home to accommodate aging person or compensate for any disability?
    My friend wantsstart a small business to paint exterior and interiors of homes, and make small changes or updates to made the homesowners home more disability or aging more comfortable/ and accessible? Such as wider doorways and lower kitchen sinks, build wheelchair ramps.(Texas)

      he must be licensed to do any work for the disabled! he could be sued big time he someone gets hurt

12. QUESTION:
    Does anyone have an ideal sealant for wood in an outdoor setting???
    I am currently restoring an antique address sign. It is wooden and I am planning on painting it with an exterior semi-gloss on the base color. After that, I am painting a floral design at the top with acrylic paint. Im looking for recommendations for sealants or laquers good to with stand outdoor use on wood to protect the design. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
      Sparr polyurethane is a good product. It has great U.V. properties and maintains it's shine rather well.Also comes in a satin finish.

13. QUESTION:
    Expoy Question (2 part/marine) Wood Jon boat - only expoying the seams?
    I build a wooden jon boat. The boat is 7 feet long, by 2 feet wide. The sides are 13 inches. If I just expoy the seams and then paint, will it float? I used 3/4 inch pine wood to build it, and used waterproof glue and brass screw to fasten it together. I was told this would be fine, because it will not be in the water all the time. I was planning on just using exterior house paint as by primer coat, and then cover that with a floor paint designed for bathroom use. I was told this would be fine, based the fact that it wouldn't be in the water all the time. Is this a good plan or was I mislead? I'm asking because some people say to expoy the whole boat. I want to use 3 to 4 hours, every other weekend. I only need the boat to hold up for one summer.

    • ANSWER:
      Taping the seams and filleting with thickend epoxy is the way to go for long life, as would a further three coats over the surface. However the painting idea you have above will probably give you your one season, and very cheaply. CPES and similar products are all right as far as they go but they are not waterproof and require over coating as above.

      The epoxy will give you many years of life, at least a decade if done right, possibly twice that or more if the boat is stored right from experience. The painting with house paint will give you a year or two. So that is why you are getting told to use the epoxy products. It is your boat, and if you want to just paint it and use it then that is fine, and no you are not getting misled. There are a lot of ways of painting a boat. Often the same paint could be put on very differently by different painters, and none doing it wrong either.

14. QUESTION:
    what is the easiest way of removing paint off a chrome piece of an amp?
    the piece is on the exterior. it is chrome. it has a design over the chrome. i can scratch off the paint but can scratch the chrome. is there an easy way to remove the paint without damaging the chrome?

    the pieces can be taken off. it is the top and bottom where the logo and name is. i dont know if it is real chrome or not but looks like chrome. and the design, i dont dont know the type of paint/ink. and i want the design off so it can be a clean chrome piece.

      You can go to any auto parts store and ask them for "aircraft stripper" It will take all of the powder coat, or paint that has been silk screened on there. A can costs about It works great and won't damage any metal.

15. QUESTION:
    Why didn't the white paint on a plywood sign cover? It has NO COLOR at all!?
    I am making a sign for my parent's home to replace the sign my dad made originally over 50 years ago. Simple white paint and black letters on plywood. Good quality cabinet grade plywood. Not the cheap stuff. Cut out the design and sanded the plywood. When I tried to paint it with a top quality white exterior latex, there is no color at all! Seriously! It looks like I used a polyurethane coating on it. Used a roller to apply. Then used a brush. Same result. My niece's wedding reception is in 10 days and I need to get this done!!!
    Yes my husband stirred the paint. Also painted another piece of plywood at the same time for a different project and that one covered reasonably well. It was cheaper quality plywood. No we didn't use a primer/sealer.

    • ANSWER:
      The difference is in the porosity of the wood. The paint was absorbed into the wood. Apply a second coat. The first coat will have filled up the majority of the pores, so you shouldn't have much loss.

18. QUESTION:
    I have an antique milk can that says 'Borden's N.Y. 1956" imprinted on the lid.?
    The inside of the can is tin. The exterior is painted a light sage green and has a Scandinavian design hand-painted on the perimeter of the lid and around the top 'band' of the can. How can I learn what, if anything, this can is worth? I think vintage milk cans, with some exceptions, are not worth much but thought it would be fun to find out if this is worth anything. It's in excellent condition.

      years ago those were worth very much, in the thousands. you just have to have the right one. similar were in the hundreds and below. 1956 is more of when the company started as the cans were reused and date was the inconsequential. borden may have been just a small farm with no relation to borden.. but they have history, and a rep from the company may help you best or better than some one who would take advantage.

19. QUESTION:
    How do you think I should design my house?
    My mom's uncle recently just passed away this past November, and he left her first cousin all 9 of his property and houses, she's letting me get one. The one she's giving me is a large 2 bedroom 1 bath house, it has a huge front yard and also a huge backyard, and have no drive way. She's told me it's up to me to design it however I want to design it.

    So this is what I had in mind.

    Furniture - black leather sectional, black leather recliner, glass top metal coffee table with 2 matching glass top metal end tables, large black rug to in center of room

    Bathroom - haven't thought about it

    Kitchen - black wood cabinets with white marble top, I using the same ceramic tiles throughout the house except the bedrooms, large fluorescent ceiling light

    Back yard - I'm planning to removed the back step, and build a deck, I'm still kind of iffy if want to build a swimming pool

      I love your ultra modern design, you definitely don't want a large outdated fluorescent light in the kitchen, opt for can lights (4") and hanging light pendants over the island or counter peninsula.

    I have a question regarding the Copyright of artworks and photographs.

      Dear Maya,

      Copyright laws vary depending on where you are. In the EU and most of the countries in the East of europe applying for membership, copyright for pictures now apply for 70 years after the death of the artist / photographer.
      In the US, copyright for pictures made in 1978 or after, copyright exist for life + 70 years (or if work of corporate authorship, the shorter of 95 years from publication, or 120 years from creation. Work created before 1923 is no longer copyrighted (like Van Gogh and Da Vinci). Work created in between had about 28 years + and could be renewed up to a total of 67 years. If not so renewed, now in public domain.
      So overall, the masters paintings you mention are all copyright free. Einsteins picture would depend on when it was taken (Anything before 1943 should be ok. If after 1943 would depend on whether it is still copyrighted). Comic characters and celebrity photos would normally be copyrighted. So in these cases it would be best to check with the holder of the copyright.

22. QUESTION:
    what is wrong with my website?
    I have run www.neverpaintagain.co.uk for the past 9 years now, which markets a special exterior paint, and it has always done well, ranked well and got good business. Recently i had it rebuilt, & re-designed at some cost, and now it ranks badly and customer enquiries are a fraction of what they were and i'm now losing money. What is wrong with my site and any suggestions on how it can be fixed and/or improved?
    Thanks for replies so far. Site is built with wordpress, designer seems to have a good reputation and knows what he is doing (!), but ran several tests, got analytics installed, bounce rate has shot up since rebuild, enquiries downhill, there doesnt seem technically, to be a reason why it isnt working.

    ref 301. The short version of the story is that he built the new site on a separate domain we had (neverpaintagain.info). Problem is google cached the development domain (dont know why) and then once site was live and he did a 301 to the .co.uk, , it started flagging content as duplicate. He has now done something (?) and the 301 is apparently correct now. In google WBM tools they say they have processed the 301 request but i have no idea when they will re-index the site or if its been done properly anyway?!

    In the mean time i am losing money hand over fist.

    There does NOT seem to be a reason why the site doesnt work. It seems to be well laid out and well designed, all tags and titles in place and so on. I am banging my head against the wall with frustration!!!!!!

    Thats what I told the web designer before he started building the new site.

    ...but well, i have to go forward now, not backward, the last site was far from perfect but IT WORKED. I wont dwell on it, it was a MASSIVE task to take the old site as a whole and change it to a wordpress site, but whats done is done and i have to move on and find out whats going on. I am still waiting for google to re index the site, anyone know how long that process takes? I had the "processed your request" email a week and half ago from google, but so far only about 250 of my pages have been indexed (out of about 1500 i think?

      Ahhh the good old saying, If it aint broke, don't fix it!' But help is at hand.
      I use Summit.co.uk to evaluate my sites, it's quick, easy & straight to the point! They have a spider simulator, which may not be 100% accurate but it gives you a good idea what is wrong with your site enabling you, or your webmaster to fix the problems.

    I need advice about a choice I can't decide?
    I love creativity, I especially love creating things with my own two hands. I have a strong passion for anything creative but, I'm no expert I mean I love art of all kinds, including painting, drawing, landscape, scenery's, design, fashion, building design, photography, acting, film, interior/exterior design, music, writing, poetry, songs and so much more. I just can't decide which path to choose. I also have this craving to travel, to go out there and see the world!

    I just don't know what to do, I'm 21, australian and i'm stuck at a cross road with a million different paths in front of me, right now I'm working part time in a storage packing boxes and filling shelves at night. I'm just stuck, i'm totally lost... Each time I decide something, I change my mind... can anybody help me, give me advice? I know this is a decision I must make on my own, this is my life and all, but I need advice... I'm so eager to travel, each time I enroll into a course for next year, I cancel and decide i'll work full time instead and travel... and this has been going on since I was 16. But between last year and this one, I've really been at a stand still and I don't want to stand still anymore, going around in circles... I know my passions are to do with creativity and I am told I'm a natural at it too, I just need some guidance to improve... I usually do self study on these subjects when I have my creative burst, I just can't figure out my thoughts.

      My advice to you is to do what you love, or to do what you need to do to be able to do what you love. For what you say, I believe you are very talented to be a professional artist, but you need to focus. Out of all those creative things, which ones you like the most? Which ones you may excel at? Then, look for a job on a related field. Whether is teaching art, or a job as a photographer, song writing, and so on.

      If you feel you are no expert in order to get a job as an art teacher or a photographer, or make a living as a song writer, then you need to go to school first and complete a degree or certification that will allow you to do that. Good things require little sacrifices, maybe you'll sacrifice some travelling time first to go to school for 1, 2 or 4 years, but after that, you will be able to do what you love, earn more money and travel more.

      In fact, if you love to travel so much, you may enroll into a foreign school somewhere outside Australia and hold a part-time job while you go to school. There are many schools with International programs that promote a lot of travelling into their programs. Middlesex University in London (UK) is one of them.

      At your age, it is very common to be very indecisive, especially if you are a creative person with so many likes and talents. Admit it, accept it and try to gain some focus. Remember that we are never stuck in life with the decisions we make, we always get the chance to make changes and try new things. In my humble opinion, I believe the first thing you need to do is find a different job, because you are certainly unhappy at your current one, and just take one step at a time.

24. QUESTION:
    Painting Fiberglass Repair?
    Our RV has some small damage to the exterior fiberglass that we I repaired with a fiberglass repair kit. No leakake, but off color. I would like to paint a small design over the damaged area to give it a more professional look. Is there an appropriate way to paint over a fibeglass repair (it is a brown color and our RV is white).

    • ANSWER:
      Use epoxy or enamel paints. Depending on the materials used in your repair kit, there's a good chance that latex will not stick (at least, not for long). Also, sand the area to be painted first, to rough it up for good paint adhesion.

      You could tape off the area outside the area to be painted in the shape (a circle?) of the area to be painted, sand the target area with some fine grit (you just want to rough it up well, not remove more than the finish), paint it with a background color (so all of the roughened area is protected) then apply the design you've come up with....

    Painting a Nissan Car?
    My parents won't let me get a new car so I decided I'm going to paint it. I want to paint it like a hippie van with designs and stuff but i need advice and help with what paint i should get and if its even possible because of the glossy exterior and stuff like that. I want the paint to last and not wash away in the rain or anything. I have a Nissan maxima 97 i believe, any input will help, thanks!

    National Historic Place Register...could my house be on it?
    ok so my house was originally built in 1825 and was supposedly a stop on the underground railroad. throughout its history, some noteable people and families have lived there (maybe not ntl. names, but def local for my city) it was also designed by a famous architect in my city in 1900, after it burned down. since then, the interior style has remained much the same, with some exeptions including the kitchen (modern appliances, style and the paint and architecture throughout the house, which isnt anywhere close to what the original color scheme would be. also, the exterior is painted an olive green, as opposed to the original white. do you think that it could possibly be added to the nhpr (dont know if thats even what its called but u kno what i mean right??)
    o ya and when it burned down in 1900 the walls still stayed in tact so the original 1825 walls are still there, they just changed the style and built a 2nd floor....
    o yess and also the first governor of my state (unnamed for privacy reasons) most likely brought the gingko tree in our back yard over from china...and general lafayette (from rev. war) visited our house at one point

    I need a cool business name for interior and exterior painting and remodeling.     The environment the lovers in the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet can influence audiences to think different ways. The people can be greatly affected in their interpretation of hidden symbolic meaning. This great story and play was edited in two different ways, one Zeferelli directed which was filmed in 1968, and the version produced in 1996. The different scenes throughout the length of the party were the most influential to me in that I saw how different these movies were directed, and the different meaning I experienced from watching these movies. Focusing on the environment of the scenes and the costuming helped me in my interpretation, because I found hidden symbolism from these two qualities.

    In the 1996 film version of Romeo and Juliet, the interior and exterior designing of the palace helped create certain symbolism. An exhilarating explosion of fireworks in the sky helped recapture an intense party scene. Beautiful colors were reflected throughout the scene. These different rays of colors were reflected in the faces of the actors and actresses. Music was also used to intensify this scene. The song "Young Hearts Run Free" was appropriate, because it produced an irony of how Romeo and Juliet would meet that night. The exterior of the Capulet's palace was intensified by red banners that hung down from the windows. White lights which strung along the palm trees showed an elegance. The interior designing of the house focused on an enormous staircase, and in the background the walls were painted red. The frames hung on the wall were outlined with gold trim, and there were two unusual gold statues by the staircase, that were half man and half fish.

    The director's choice of lighting and music helped to create an actual party scene with the liveliness it brought. The explosion of fireworks in the sky could have been interpreted as an explosion of lust that would occur later on between Romeo and Juliet. Also I found that the use of fireworks in the sky emphasized the stars, and Romeo and Juliet were star crossed lovers of their time. The coloring of reds and gold helped make the Capulet house outstanding and showed the audience royalty and richness. The statues that were on each side of the staircase representing half man and half fish were showing the controversy of how a man is torn from being masculine, to being put in the direction of femininity or romanticism. I think the top part of the man is shown as strength, and the bottom fin shows his need to express his feminine side. I think Romeo was represented by this statue for his romantic qualities and how he chose to be a lover, over his instinctive masculinity of wanting to fight.

    Water was the main focus of scenery the first time Romeo and Juliet saw each other, creating an unusual array of lust. The first time they saw each other, their gaze went across a beautiful aquarium of fish. Different colors and types of fish swam by as they stared deeply into each others' eyes. This scene looked as if it were filmed underwater, and gave the effect of being in a world under the sea. Again, the choice of music in the background, "Kissing You," helped create a romantic atmosphere. The actual tune and pace of the song were slow enough and went well with the fish floating slowly across the aquarium.

    Many issues were obtained from this scene by the use of water, emphasizing an intense array of sexuality. The use of water and fish could have represented Juliet's virginity to the audience, being that fish can be interpreted as a woman's vagina. As Romeo set his gaze upon her, he might have sensed her purity, and seen her for nothing more than for her vagina, which would be represented by the fish. Another interpretation I found was that Romeo was looking through the aquarium at millions of beautiful fish, yet focusing on Juliet resembles Romeo's immaturity of being in love with Rosaline a few hours before, and shortly after being in love with Juliet. This also could have represented many other 'fish in the sea,' implying that Romeo's interests were surely based on lust. The song "Kissing You," showed the audience the lustful intentions these young teenagers had when they first saw one another. The music helped create a sexual innuendo by the slow, heavy breathing in the song.

    The elevator scene was a unique spot in which Romeo and Juliet first embraced which showed a wanting for privacy. Surrounding them in the background was a pure whiteness that brightened up the entire scene. There were golden bars in the elevator that went around them, almost resembling golden gates of heaven.

    The director's choice in having this scene take place within an elevator showed a lust for wanting to be close, and being away from everyone else. I think the representation of this scene shows the lovers engaging in a rather rebellious act at that time. The reas

    What's wrong with my XHTML and/or CSS code?
    I'm trying to make this Web page with two columns. For some reason, my right column keeps displaying to the left of my left column. I can only see the last few characters on each line of the right column because it runs off the page. I can't even scroll left to see what it says. Everything else is fine except that left column.     The temple Emanu – El was the first Jewish temple in northern Texas being built in 1875, without the additional work on the original building it would have been in terrible condition but with the better structural work the building looks brand new.
    The main colors are dark brown, white and blue.
    The Temple of Emanu-El was build over a century ago in 1875, making it 133 years old.
    In height the building isn’t that spectacular with most of the building being only 2 floors up , but the length of the building surpasses both of the previous buildings. So in height The Emanu – El does not bring anything special to the neighborhood, but with the fact that it goes on for miles it certainly has something alluring to its name.
    Like most modern church’s the architectural features does not hold a torch to the medieval church’s that litter southern Europe and east Africa. It was built more like a outside high school with many rooms and hall ways.
    Unlike the Islamic mosques the Jewish temple is littered with images of the holy figures and scenes from the Old Testament.
    The temple is located in a busy intersection surrounded by shopping centers, schools, malls, and hundreds of streets.
    There is a school that in height surpasses the temple in the east ward and there is also a medical center in the posterior of the property.
    Together with the school and the center it does have a presence in the busy area but it loses some shine from the near by mall and many shopping centers and schools.

    The Frisco Masjid is absolutely beautiful and the diverse building material certainly helps give the building the allure that helps attract so many visitors. It is predominantly made out of colored brick, cement, Egyptian marble and foreign materials from India and east Africa.
    The main building is considered old to some people being little bit under a half a century years old , but if you ever have the chance of visiting the mosque it looks like it has only been standing for two or three years. It’s truly in a healthy condition looking finer then buildings only standing for a couple of years.
    The main colors are blue , brown and green.
    The main building was built in 1968, but other structures have been constantly being built ever since.
    The size is beyond imagine, it sky rockets out of the ground and surpasses almost every building in its surrounding areas.
    Like most mosques in both the Middle East and around the world this building is littered with impressive architectural features and designs, from painted towers to eerie columns this mosque leaves little to the imagination. Other then towers and columns the building also has a huge dome the erupts out of the core of the building.
    Like many mosques the Dallas Masjid does not show off many symbolic pictures or paintings of Muhammad or God, but do have hundreds of paintings of angles and symbols in both the exterior and anterior of the building.
    Inside the main property the building is surrounded by lush gardens and a protective brick wall that circles around the anterior…..but on the outside of the property there are busy streets and many residential neighborhoods.
    There is no other building or structures surrounding the mosque except the brick wall that circulates the building.
    Other then a near by sky scraper, the mosques dominates the surrounding area which only consists of residential neighborhoods and busy streets.

    (Celebration Centre)

    The Celebration Covenant Church in Frisco Texas is made out of two prominent building materials red brick and white cement .The bricks beautifully make out the columns of the church and the minor roof, while the cement makes up the rest of the building.
    The structural condition is very sound , only being built a couple of years ago (6 years ) the building has not yet experienced the harsh conditions some church’s in Europe and other areas have gone through having being been standing for centuries
    The main colors are light brown, dark brown , and blue .
    .The church it self was built in May 19th , 2002 in Frisco Texas but the original plans for the church were made around the mid 90s by pastors Keith and Shelia Craft and the original CCC team .
    Where the church is located it is the biggest man -made structure second to the Frisco library, so comparing it to other buildings it’s a pretty outstanding size. But by 2010 after the present day church is upgraded it will pass the size of the Frisco library and many other buildings in Frisco.
    The church has some outstanding architectural features in its present form with brick columns and many glass openings. But by 2010 when the church is upgraded, many historic sculptures, cathedral like towers and numerous columns will be added that it even will rival some off the great church’s standing today.
    The Celebration Covenant Church is more of a modern church and does not display any symbolic icons on the exterior of the buildings expect a glass portrait of the Christ.
    The church is located near busy streets, gated communities, vacant green lands, and shopping spaces…..if it wasn’t for its noticeable size the church would be washed out into its diverse background.
    Other then the main building there is a medium size building nearing the exterior of the church, and a sports center in the far left.
    The Celebration Covenant Church is the dominant man – made structure in the area the only thing that out shines it is the Frisco library and depending where you are looking at a main high in the far end of the region.

    I have two weeks to finish building, painting, and adding furniture to my structure. It'll count as my final grade in Interior Design. It has two floors which will have one room on bottom and one on top. I began to paint the top floor walls striped with purple and black paint and am not happy with the result. Any ideas on how I can fix that little problem, and also how I can make my house look more Victorian?

    Architectural Style and How to hire a contractor?
    I am fixing to buy a 1950's era ranch style house. The exterior was recently painted a light grey color. It is in need of some updating and a little remodeling. I have always like the design Abercrombie and Fitch have used in there stores, ie. grey walls with white trim and very dark wood floors and dim lighting. I was wanting to do the same to this house through out the whole house with the exception of the bathrooms which already have the vintage white tile.I would like to install base boards and crown molding to all the rooms and some simple buy elegant built in book shelf's. How would i explain this to a contractor. What style is this? Should I just tell my contractor the style I want or should I just pick it out myself and have him install and paint it? This will be my first house, first remodel, first time hiring a contractor etc.

      you should look at design magazines or meet with him at the mall and then show him your house but I have only been at that store once and don't remember, get several bid and ask if they do the work or use subcontractors, I would pass on the subs cause you can find these guys yourself for half the cost a contractor that uses them, ask your neighbors or look at some lumber and building supply stores and you be the contractor that hires them, with either see a insurance certificate and no down payment except for materials when they are delivered to your job site., its a great time to find some good ones because of the housing market and building trade is a down market right now many are starving

      I think they call that chevrolet bright blue, if you get the car repainted another color your looking at more money as inside the doors and trunk lid and under the hood also have to be repainted.

    HELP I have a question about how much my truck might be worth.?
    I have a 1997 dodge ram 2500 with a Magnum V-8 engine. It a flowmaster exhaust system, custom body including hood, grille, bumper, lights, tailgate, also has a custom paint job. The paint job is a main color of all black then a thick red stripe through the middle and ghost skulls painted into the red. The truck is lifted with custom tires and wheels. Oh and it has a K&N air filter system for better gas mileage. The interior includes a custom dash with a skull design to match the exterior. The truck has mudflaps with LED lights to coincide with the break/reverse/turning lights. Also has LED lights under the door handle to let it shine at night. The interior also includes a 3,300 watt sound system including 2 12 inch subwoofers and a 1200 watt amp. I was just wondering how much you guys would expect this truck to sell for. Thanks.       It's a good looking truck, you haven't really gone overboard on anything. Lift is modest. Has some nice details. The sound system is probably more then it needs but not outrageous. The skull motif may detract from it, but some buyers will probably like it. You don't say how many miles it has. If the mileage is low you could probably get 10,000 easy, maybe more in the right market. With the recent drop in gas prices, it shouldn't be too hard to find a buyer. It's a nice, heavy duty 4x4.

    Got wallpaper glue/adhesive of some kind in my hair. Reactivates w/ hot water. Would maybe chem. relaxer get ?
    Got wallpaper glue/adhesive of some kind in my hair while working w/ a co. He was spray soaking some of papers down first w/ a solution of water, a solvent/or dis-solvent that loosened the paper's glue backing, & a soap mix. After top layer w/ design was soaked, we could then peel it off wall. Was a second backing p.aper w/out a design to which he/we did the same thing, soak first, peel or scrape off. This is probably the point at which my hair swung forward (loose from my braid) & made contact w/ backing paper still guey w/ residue of glues from back of top layer paper (design layer) now down from walls. Whatever adhesive or chemicals residue was still in my hair, seemed to be fine after detangling & cutting away hard knots. But something was activated during the rinse out phase w/ hot water after conditioning (the last step...after first shampooing) & first, prior to both, after first detangling entire head of hair w/ 2 detangler sprays B4 going into shampoo. Noticed small rock hard knots during detangle that only came out w/ cutting them out. I was able to manually detangle/unravele one side (the side that had been in the braid that don't think made contact w/ the wall & sticky residue) later in the day same day after it occurred (went to church w/ tangled mess). But other side was so hard & so tight & so interwoven & wrapped around itself, that it wouldn't then, & still won't budge. Now, both sides need help, as wet the good side w/ a touch of those products that dissolve hair ext. glue, & w/ the vodka, which I think one or all of these made it, too, now, wrap around itself at the ends & I can't pull apart. Someone online suggested wallpaper glue dissolves in hot water, so I tried that thinking it would work, but the mess got even bigger, tighter, harder, & incorporated even more of my hair. Hot water obviously activates it or makes it mushy which begins to spread it & involve more hair. Now it is even higher on my head than before. Does anyone know if maybe a chemical hair relaxer might solve this safely & effectively while preserving my hair & not damaging it any further, & dissolve the whatever mixture of man made things or chemicals/etc. this is right out of my hair? One clerk said that she applies just the one portion of the chemicals that is used to chemically curl your hair back into her hair which relaxes the curl away & straightens her hair back to normal, if she has put too much curl into it. Would that maybe work w/ this? Or is that chemical overload?, This is a scary nightmare. I have fine/thin natural blonde but previously color enhanced processed hair, so it is too fragile to experiment w/. Locally someone suggested that believe it or not vodka will dissolve whatever adhesive is in there out, so I tried that & it almost like melted a bit of my hair. 3 yrs.ago something almost identical happened, only that time it was due to a creme conditioner that Sally's Beauty clerk reccommended along w/ other products spec. f/ my well water situation. She advised wrong type of conditioner f/ my needs (I needed one f/ BEFORE going into shampoo, she gave me one f/ AFTER. She said leave it in all day will provide even better results. Really bad advice! I did, but ignored the wet hair step first, as I was looking f/ a detangle spray that doesn't .f/ BEFORE heading in to shampoo, which can go on wet or dry, & I thought, my hair dries in seconds, whats the diff.? I was painting house exterior by myself (under duress fr/ landlord w/ a fabricated deadline to meet that suited THEIR schedule, not mine, or evictiction & working FT, too. So, I thought I'd save a few minutes. After conditioning my hair was like this, glued to itself & wrapped around like someone had whipped w/ a mixer & so intertwined that you can't tell where one end stops & ends. Wrapped so tight around each other that it is a nightmare. Can anyone help? I am desperate. Cutting would be a disaster. And not willing to undergo & endure the pain I went through 3 yrs. ago to pay salon girl to rip through it w/ a comb. I couldn't endure that drama this time, Plus, that pulled out too much hair in process & I believe there has to be something safe to remove whatever this nightmare is. I'd be willing to fly somewhere if you think you have the answer but need to see it first to be sure we're talking accurately about the exact same things. And, by now, I've got other things thrown in there, too, like a natural oil combination product from Sally's designed to remove hair extension glues, a similar, less natural, product only f/ ethnic hair, the most recent suggestion, vodka..so, stay away from me w/ matches. The Johnson detangling spray was reacting funny & was making entire strands of hair comb out from the scalp, which is not normal when I use my regular Mane 'n Tail detangling spray. But that Mane n Tail isn't always effective, either, so I was looking f/ a better more natural substitute, & Dollar Gen;. was no longer carrying

      I wouldn't do a relaxer you don't know how that will react. I might try 1 Tbs. baking soda + 1 Tbs. clarifying shampoo. mix and shampoo in. leave on for 5 min. this will strip your hair so after you rinse put on a deep conditioner for 15 min. to seal your cuticle again. hope it works.

    I'll try and summarize my problem as short as I can. My xbox elite is having the universal problem of not reading the disc. Its really frustrating and annoying. I'm thinking about getting another elite but I want the 250gb hard drive found only in the MW2 Xbox edition. I hate the design on the MW2 Edition because I do not want to surrender my Xbox 360 design to just one specific game. That's for die hard fanboys (it will look foolish when MW3 comes out). I know you can replace the faceplate on any xbox but can you do that with the sides? And if you can, is there a lot dissembling required? I'm just looking to basically trade the exterior of my elite with the MW2 edition Xbox.

    Can someone please answer the following questions for me...
    1) I basically just need to know if the exterior MW2 Edition Xbox design are merely stickers or are they painted on?
    2) can I dissemble my xbox elite exterior and trade it with the MW 2 edition?
    3) how much does it cost to fix the disc reading problem? I figure it would be at least 0. This is my idea...I have the MW2 game already and two elite controllers along with all the cables and a 120gb hardrive. Do you think it would be wise to simply buy the limited edition xbox and sell the extra stuff. I can sell the brand new game it comes with, AV cables, ethernet cable, 2 controllers, HDMI cable, power brick, and the 120 hardrive. I am only hesitant because my hardrive has a small dent and I doubt it would sell on ebay, even though it works perfectly. Hell, I think I can even sell my elite and someone will fix it themselves. Can someone please add up the values of these used items and offer me advise on whether I should repair my elite or buy the MW2 edition based on my preferences.     MAZDA3 2007 or PONTIAC G6 GT 2006! Which one?!?!?
    Okay..so I have to basically choose between these two cars...both are pretty nice! and they're local, I could drive five minutes from my house and look. The problems however....

    PONTIAC G6 2006 SEDAN: This car is pretty nice looking! It's blue, the color I've been looking for, and has awesome speakers and basically an amazing radio experience, the interior is pretty nice, but not the best. It has 61,000 miles on it, and is around ,995 because of being a nice car and having an extremely nice stereo. The only negatives were what some people say that they are a hassle to fix,and that it isn't as safe.

    MAZDA3 2007 is also in the same place, it is EXTREMELY nice, the exterior is alright, I like the design for Pontiac better, but the interior in it is REALLY nice. It's ,995 and has 64, 274 miles on it...It has had nice ratings, is safer, but the BIGGEST problem i have with it is that it's a stick shift! I haven't really ever driven one, so I have no idea how much harder it is. But i've seen friends,and there are times were I always get jerked because they do something wrong.

    Another thing with the mazda3 is that it's a silver car, and I'm not quite fond of silver...and I'm worried about getting my car painted because it's so expensive!

    It's basically a tie between these two, I've been searching for a blue mazda3 around here, and haven't found one yet.

    If you have any advice to give me on the paint job thing, that would be appreciated as well!

    PLEASE DON'T SUGGEST ANY OTHER SORT OF CAR, these are the only ones I could find around here that fit my price range of 10-14k

      Learn to drive a standard and buy the Mazda. As you say, the Pontiac is less safe and it will also be unreliable, so it's more likely to break.

    How to choose colors for new home interior?
    Hi, I'm in the process of buying a new home and am thinking about what colors to paint the rooms, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, and living room. The house is on the small side, so I've heard that I should use mostly light colors to make it look bigger. I really like the way rooms look when they have one color on the top half of the wall and one color on the lower half, or three walls painted one color, and the fourth wall painted a second color, and in both cases the window trim painted a third (usually white) color.

    I know the 'look' I'm going for, I just can't seem to find colors that I'm happy with. Can anyone help me choose colors that would go well together?       Gratz on the new home. It's really reall hard to pick exact colors you will be living with for the next 4 years or so before you move in. There are several reasons for this.

      Lighting plays a huge part in how a wall looks.
      Your furnishings and accents will dictate some things for you.
      Doing this now is like coloring a page in a coloring book ...you have to stay withen the lines that is already there.

      So...keep thinking and when you get there get fabric or the larger color swatches or those tiny cans of paint and see what shade and hue works best.. For instance there are a 1000 shades of beige..one or 2 will sit beautifully and 998 others will always feel a little off.

      What you sould be thinking about at this point is what furniture you have and what patterns to add to a room ...Many times if you find...say the perfect accent pillows for your couch you can then pick colors off of that in the same or lighter or darker. Matching a pattern to a wall is harder then matching the wall to the pattern.

      Chair rails are good for a 2 tone room as long as the room is not cluttered. If you have to cram furniture into a room it will just confuse the eye more. Accent walls do not have to span an entire wall you section a peice of wall ..for instance behind the sofa you can put a dramtic or even darker color and add strip of trim to give it a finishe look..This method makes the cieling feel higher too. http://www.calfinder.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/designer-tips-accent-colors.jpg

    I have a 2006 BMW X5 4.4i and as much as I adore it, it's a little too big and I think I'm going to trade it in for a Cayenne S. I test drove a regular Cayenne a few months ago and it was really phenomenal and I'm told the S is even better, but I really love BMW's and the way they drive, so should I just get the newer X5 since it's slightly smaller and more aerodynamic, go for the X3 since it's way smaller or just get the Cayenne S? Here's what options I have on the X5 and am planning to get on the Cayenne S if it helps:

    i am a 15 year old girl, soon to be 16. i just moved into my new house a few months ago and we're at the painting stage, now that we are done with the yard and exterior. i can't do much decorating until i get that done so i need some help. i have a thing for the color purple, but i would like to have more than one color. which colors go well with purple and how should i paint my walls with those colors?

    I have photos I would like to send you of water damage to the interior and exterior of our sunroom. It was originally a screened in porch, and we had it enclosed 19 years ago. We have had the contractor back as we have water stains in the ceiling and in the baseboards and the exterior is full of rot. My husband feels their is a problem with the roof line design but no one will offer help. My painter won't even bother to paint the room as it would be a waste of time. Our sunroom smell moldy so I try to keep the french doors open but what was once a nice part of the house is a thorn in my side, plus you can literally put you finger through the siding on the outside of the room. This is on the southside of the house where we get the worst wind/rain during the winter months. I had taken pictures in hopes of sending them to you but I don't see how I can attach exterior or interior photos to this email. We are avid viewers of your show, and last night we decided that you were probably the only person who could look at the problem and tell us what to do to fix our ongoing issue.     living room decoration?
    We have just finished painting our living room based on colours recommended by a decorator - now I need decoration help!

    The paint colours in the living room are Buckhorn (like a brown that has a hint of green to it like topeish) and Sandy Brown (it's a beige). Our couches are beige, and our accent pillows are Burgundy and brown. I have a two picture frames (on a beige wall) that hold a bunch of pictures from our wedding which was in the fall, and my bouquet of flowers really stands out with Burgundies and orange colours. I also have a vase over our fireplace which has burgandee/orangeish flowers in it.

    My question is I want to put boxes (3 different sizes) above one of our couches. The color of the wall it'll be on is the brownish/green colour. I am wondering what color I should paint the boxes? Should I do them beige to match all the other walls or should I paint them Burgundy to more or less match the pillows? Should I paint one Burgundy and the rest beige. I'm REALLY not good with this kind of stuff. The way our living room is designed we actually have two walls taht are beige, and two that have the brownish colour. Where are window is there is a bulkhead that frames our big window. The exterior of the bulkhead is beige, but the inside where the window is, has the brown (decorator suggested that).

    Much appreciate your answers, as I'm really not good when it comes to things like this.
    By boxes I mean those decorative boxes not sure if there is a special name for them. I'm going to use them instead of shelves.
